Current Projects

Ray says, "The new music of Bob Masters is very interesting to me.  His style lends perfectly to the stand up bass. His energy, talent and material are fulfilling to experience and a joy to share."

Ray was recently playing simultaneous bass guitar and drums and singing with Gary Lapado as the "Boomeration Band".  Now freelancing full time, several groups keep constant work going. Stand up bass with the bands THE HILLWILLIAMS, TRAIN RIVER, and THE HOT CLUB OF HAWTHORN have been pleasant learning sessions. The TEXAS TRIBUTE band this year was fun. Several songwriters have worked with Ray recently. Cohosting a weekly bluegrass jam at the legendary WHITE EAGLE SALOON always satisfies.

Life is sweet, the music is fine, we're healthy and happy and singing our ways onward.

Basically, Ray can provide the duo, trio, or quartet, in several different styles and volumes, depending on the event.

BRUTHA BOB  Americana/Delta Blues Recording Artist

After searching for songs to play for his parents in their later years, Brutha Bob Masters developed a passion for the kind of music that they grew up enjoying.  Brotha Bob discovered several very cool songs from their era consisting of mostly 1930's Blues, Jazz, Ragtime, and Bluegrass.  With crafty arrangements and a unique combination of instruments, Brutha Bob has created a sound that he calls "Mountain Blues".

He records all of his music live in his studio, Brutha Bob Music Studios.  His instrument collection includes an 8-string tenor mandolin, Irish bouzouki, guitar, slide guitar, mandocello, and acoustic bass.

Brotha Bob has secured a distribution deal with Uniscope Distribution & Brand Services and will release his new album, "MOONSHINE DAZE", in early 2017.  The album consists of a mix of old-time Americana songs and originals such as "SUMPIN' GOES WRONG", and "WHISKEY".
